We can now log-on to the computer. As mentioned the isumsoft program which I burnt to a CD did eventually work. Your recent instruction greatly helped. They appeared to be an issue with the user profile, hence the reason it was not letting us log-in. Via the Administrator account, which we also removed password, we were able to generate a new user profile and copy old information into that. All appears well. Whilst it took some time to resolve, I do appreciate you help.

Yes, I was able to login after the System Recovery/Repair was 'triggered', after trying to use the password utility. I then was able to run a System Restore. Thank you for confirming, I appreciate it!

I bought a win10 computer and I locked myself out of it because I DID NOT make a reboot disk. I spent two days trying to get into the computer, Dell, but win10 kept me locked out. I found isumsoft.com software and they sent me three different programs until the third one unlocked my computer so I could use it. I packed the computer up and was going to send it back to Staples. Well, all is good now.
